What we offer

We're a mix of permanent staff and associates.

For our permanent team we offer:

Compensation: Competitive bench-marked base salary, twice-yearly bonuses and salary reviews.
Holiday: 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays).
Tech budget: We'll provide you up to £1000 to spend on the tech you need to work effectively and, of course, subscriptions to AI tools to help you work effectively.
Flexibility: We work hybrid by default but are open to remote working and other flexible working arrangements, including short-term working overseas.

For our associates we offer:

Access to shared tools, branding, and back-office support: You can use AIConfident's toolkits and brand to grow your own client base, whilst benefiting from our operational support.
Flexibility: We’re open to flexible arrangements - project-based, part-time or longer-term collaborations. Mostly UK-based, but with plenty of room to roam.
Associate compensation: We are a for-profit organisation with a strong social purpose which means we prioritise working with some of the most in-need organisations, at the expense of greater profits. Our compensation is fair and transparent, but not modelled on corporate consultancy day rates. We want to keep our work accessible to organisations that need it most, whilst recognising our associates’ expertise.

AI Training and Governance Delivery Lead

Experience level: 2-4 years

‍Compensation: Base salary (likely 40-50k, flexible depending on experience) + bonus

Location: Hybrid (London) with regular travel to clients. These are primarily based in the south east of England but other travel is expected.

Working pattern: This can either be a full or part time role. We're open to other flexible working arrangements.

The opportunity

AIConfident is on a mission to ensure the transformative power of AI technology results in a more equal society. We're looking for an impact-led individual to lead AI training and governance for our clients, taking them from initial contact through to ensuring all their staff have the fundamental skills to use generative AI responsibly to boost productivity and wellbeing.‍

What you'll do

Client Delivery (60%)

Deliver engaging training sessions on AI training/literacy, policy, and governance for diverse audiences, based on existing AIConfident toolkits and materials.
Provide hands-on AI policy and governance support tailored to each client's context, using AIConfident’s existing AI policy tool.

Account Management (30%)

Take clients from initial enquiries and proposals through to delivery and follow up.
Build trusted relationships where clients see you as their go-to AI advisor.
Act as an enthusiastic ambassador for AIConfident externally.

Toolkit/product development (10%)

Develop and refine our toolkit of repeatable training materials and resources. This might be writing accompanying materials, building custom AI tools or contributing to AIConfident’s thought leadership.
Help grow our emerging product offerings to extend our reach and impact.

Who you are

Critical: A growth mindset is key for us at AIConfident, but we need you to be experienced enough to hit the ground running. We’re looking for somebody who wants to grow alongside a mission-driven company.

Essential:

2-4 years of professional experience but we’re open minded on what this is. It might be consulting, account management/sales or policy. Through your experience we’re looking for core skills in communications, client/stakeholder engagement and project management.
Genuine passion and curiosity about AI technologies and their societal implications. You don't need to be a technical expert, but you will love learning and care about responsible use of AI technologies and our role in shaping technology and society.
Natural communicator who can make complex topics accessible and engaging for non-technical audiences. You’ll be comfortable adapting your communication style - from coaching beginners on their AI journey through to understanding strategic implications of the investments clients are making.
Comfortable managing client relationships with professionalism and warmth.
Self-starter who thrives with autonomy and can manage multiple client projects simultaneously.
Aligned with our mission and values - you want your work to create positive change and will champion these values in everything you do. You will always use digital tools in a safe and responsible way.

‍Desirable:

You might also have some of the following experiences or background:

Experience delivering training, workshops or coaching. We don’t expect you to be a qualified coach but we want you to be able to build other people’s capacity rather than dependence on AIConfident.
Understanding of organisational change management.
Understanding of AI policy, ethics, or governance.
Experience turning individual products into repeatable approaches.
Experience within a startup and comfortable working in ambiguity.

Education Lead (part time or associate basis)

‍Compensation: Dependant on experience and how you want to shape the role.

Location: Hybrid (London) or remote with regular travel to clients. These are primarily based in the south east of England.

Working pattern: We're open to part-time, associate/retainer basis or profit-share/hybrid models.

The opportunity

The widespread use of AI technologies is bringing significant change for schools, from everyday use by teachers, through to the whole purpose of education. Many leaders are overwhelmed and unsure where to start. AIConfident equips schools to confidently adopt and adapt to AI technologies.

We’re scaling our education work and looking for a passionate individual with a background in education to make this happen. You will build the pipeline with schools, academies and trusts, shape our existing product, and deliver high-quality services.

What you'll do

This role is all about growing our education programme and increasing our reach with school leaders. The specifics of the role will depend on the successful candidate but will include aspects of:

Growth of the education programme

Take schools from initial contact with AIConfident through to delivery. You'll be responsible for identifying opportunities, shaping proposals through to contracting. You'll be supported by AIConfident's operations and systems so you can focus on growing the programme.
Be our in-house AI in education expert. This will include continually updating our materials based on the latest changes in AI technologies and guidance from the Department for Education.
Action insights to turn feedback into improvements in our product to increase our reach and social impact.

Deliver for school leaders

You'll work with our existing education associate team to:

Deliver our school leader cohorts using existing AIConfident toolkit.
Deliver workshops, training and keynotes for schools and trust leaders using existing AIConfident materials.

What you'll bring

We’re building a community of impact-led practitioners - people who believe AI should enable better decisions, fairer systems and more confident, capable organisations. We’re open-minded about your background and experience so take this as a guide rather than a set of requirements.

Genuine passion about AI in education with a solid working literacy in current tools and a commitment to keep learning as the field evolves. You experiment with AI tools responsibly and know how to translate this for school leaders.
Deep experience in education (e.g., SLT/trust leadership, teacher/coach, education policy or edtech/programme lead) so you’re credible with school leaders.
Relationship-builder and impact led. You enjoy meeting new people, building partnerships and taking work from kick-off to impact. You care about outcomes, not just outputs.
People-centred with a coaching mindset you love being in front of people - helping others build capability and confidence. You don’t do things for people, you do them with them and you’ll be comfortable adapting your communication style.
Entrepreneurial and aligned with our missions and values - you want to lead shaping the education programme and ensure your work creates positive change.

Associates

We are always looking for associates to join our team as we scale. We particularly look for people who recognise themselves in one (or more) of these descriptions:

You’ve begun building a client base but find the business side draining - you’d rather focus on meaningful delivery.
You’re doing well independently, but you miss the buzz of being part of a team that shares your values or people to bounce ideas with.
You’ve been leading AI transformation inside an organisation but you want more impact and/or flexibility - you want to help others do it well and with confidence.
You’ve developed great ideas or methodologies, but haven’t yet found the clients to bring them to life.
You come from a product/technical background and you want to help clients build tools that immediately improve their workplace.

You don’t need to know everything about AI - our strength lies in expertise at the intersections. Maybe you blend AI with education, policy, creativity, operations or social impact. We’ll help you overlay AI knowledge where needed.

We're currently specifically recruiting associates for:

Education Lead (part time or associate basis)
Experts in AI governance, risk or security
Excited by delivering in-person training (generally London and the south east)
