About us

We believe the transformative power of AI should result in a more equal society

AI technologies will drive significant societal change. At AIConfident, we are driven by three desired outcomes:

  • That AI technologies are adopted responsibly by every organisation we work with. Giving leaders and their teams agency over where, and where not to use AI technologies;
  • That the widespread use of AI technologies across society results in better outcomes for people and for human connection;
  • That young people are equipped to thrive in an AI enabled world;

Leaders are having to quickly get to grips with changes to the way their teams operate; and the communities and clients which their organisation exists to serve.

Our mission is to prepare as many leaders and their organisations for this change as possible, combining deep AI expertise, strategy and governance advice, and excellent facilitation skills.

Our principles

Working in partnership and developing your people

We believe in the power of your people to drive change. Our approach is to equip them with the knowledge and tools to lead with confidence and put your organisation at the forefront of the AI revolution. Work with us if you want to empower your team to create lasting impact.

Led by your dreams and your challenges

We always start with ‘what do you want to achieve?’ and believe that choosing not to use AI can be as powerful as choosing to adopt it. Work with us if you want to build an organisation that takes a thoughtful and intentional approach to AI.

A coaching-led approach to change

We bring the right questions and challenges to help you shape an approach to AI technologies that reflects your values and goals. Work with us if you want to embrace AI in a way that strengthens your organisation’s unique identity.

Unashamedly human at our core

We believe AI should enhance people’s lives, not replace them. We help leaders and teams to work co-intelligently with AI technologies. Work with us if you want to help your teams to do more of the uniquely human things they are great at. If your main goal is job cuts, we’re probably not the right fit.

About Tim: CEO/Co-founder

Tim brings over a decade of applying AI technology to societal challenges within Government, and four years setting up the UK Government's Office for Artificial Intelligence as its Deputy Head. Here Tim was responsible for advising Ministers and Number 10 on AI policy and strategy, spanning AI skills, adoption and regulatory approaches to AI, as well as National Security risks.

With significant experience of leading teams through change in large organisations, Tim is a qualified leadership coach, and is most at home facilitating sessions and public speaking.

Inspired by the need to support leaders who are facing both internal and external change as a result of AI technologies, Tim set up AIConfident, which combines his extensive AI background with leadership coaching, workshop facilitation skills and passion for change.

Tim's own leadership experiences underpin the focus of AIConfident on supporting leaders to navigate substantial change with confidence.

Chris started in investment banking and IT before moving to France, where he spent seven years working as an executive coach. After returning to the UK, he co-founded a technology startup, eventually stepping back into a non-executive role and easing into semi-retirement. But a rekindled passion for AI drew him back. Chris now helps companies get up the learning curve with AI, combining a lifelong love of technology with a deep curiosity about people. In his spare time, he uses his personal team of AIs to automate almost every aspect of his life—always asking: what could this make possible?

Our social purpose

AIConfident is a for-profit social enterprise. We are driven by three factors

First and foremost, we are passionate about ensuring that all of our clients adopt and adapt to AI technologies responsibly and strategically. We give leaders and their teams agency over where, and where not to use AI technologies;

Meanwhile, AI technologies stand to change many aspects of society, bringing new opportunities for organisations that strive for social good, while at the same time creating new risks for the most vulnerable. We re-invest some of our profits to be able to lower our costs to help charities and not for profits to anticipate the societal changes that AI technologies will bring.

We are also passionate about young people being both inspired by, and cautious of the possibilities that AI technologies can bring. Which is why we will also re-invest some of our profits to be able to lower our costs to help school leaders and others who work with children to give young people everything that they need to thrive in an AI enabled world.
