Founders Associate

As a Founder Associate, you’ll work closely with our founders to run and grow AIConfident. This is a varied and fast-paced role, spanning operations, business development and client delivery. You’ll get exposure to every part of the business, from implementing internal processes, building new service lines or helping us win new clients and partnerships. We want somebody who can grow with the business - particularly spotting processes to automate so you can spend your time on more interesting and complex tasks.

We’re looking for somebody with 1-3 years experience and keen to develop and grow in your role, rather than having deep experience from the outset. You’ll thrive in this role if you are looking to learn, are excited by a mix of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, and want to ensure AI is reshaping organisations and society for the better.

To apply for this role, please send your CV and cover letter, including how you've used AI in your application, to catriona@aiconfident.co.uk.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
Operations:
- Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth delivery across projects. Support programme planning and client engagements (from logistics through to client retention);
- Own internal information systems and use insights to be data driven in our growth;
- Proactively identify bottlenecks in our workflows and design automation solutions to fix or streamline them;
- Implement and manage tools to improve productivity across the team (e.g., AI tools, Zapier, Hubspot, and project management platforms);
- We want you to responsibly automate parts of your job, so you can spend more time working on things that excite you with your unique human skills.

Business Development:
- Support in identifying and pursuing new client opportunities;
- Prepare proposals, pitch decks, and other client-facing materials;
- Build and maintain strong relationships with partners and stakeholders.

Founder Support:
- Act as a thought partner to the founders, helping prioritise opportunities and projects;
- Lead on client facing projects such as new service offerings or partnerships.

ABOUT YOU
Essentials:
- You share our ambition that the widespread uptake of AI technologies should result in a better society. You’re curious about AI and how it impacts organisations, people, and society, and share our excitement about building a business fit for an AI era;
- You’re entrepreneurial, proactive, and comfortable working in a small, growing team;
- You have excellent organisational skills and can balance multiple projects at once;
- You’re a confident communicator, able to engage with senior stakeholders, clients and partners;
- You learn quickly, take ownership of projects, and aren’t afraid to get stuck in;
- You’re comfortable working with digital tools (bonus if you’ve used no-code tools like Zapier, Airtable, or Notion, or want to quickly learn how to);
- You’re confident spotting opportunities for improvement and independently implementing them.

Nice-to-haves:
- Exposure to AI technologies or a keen interest in developing expertise in this space;
- Experience in improving business operations, particularly through automation;
- Experience in startups, consulting, or similar fast-paced environments.

We’re committed to building a diverse, inclusive and supportive workplace, and bringing these to our clients, so we encourage applications from people of all backgrounds and experiences.
